Time to step it up a bit, and try to compose a burger which is easy to make, but incredibly tasty. Serve this to your friends and you will be the King! I was really hungry while making this, and it was really hard to resist snacking from the ingredients. I present to you, a mouth-watering burger you will make over and over again! 🙂 Of course, straight from the grill.
Serving: 2 pers
Estimated time to prepare: 25 mins
1 Big Carrot
1/4 White Onion
1 tbs Mayonnaise
2 tbs Greek Yoghurt
1 tsp Lemon Juice
1/4 tsp Crushed Mustard Seeds
400g Minced Beef 14% (if you want a healthier burger, go for a low fat one)
1 tsp Smoked Paprika
1 tsp Salt
1/5 tsp Garlic
1/4 tsp Pepper
1 tbs Sunflower Oil
2 Slices of Cheddar
1 Big Tomato
Bun of your choice
I like to start with the Coleslaw, so it can rest in the fridge while I’m preparing the burgers. Shred cabbage, carrot and onions.
Combine with mayonnaise, greek yoghurt and lemon juice. Season with salt, pepper and mustard seeds. Put it in the fridge for now.
In a bowl, combine the minced beef with paprika, garlic, salt and pepper. Use a little oil if you want the texture a bit smoother. Divide the burger mix into two pieces and sqeeze them into burgers. Season with salt and pepper on the outside.
Roast the serrano in a frying pan until crisp and let it rest on a piece of paper to drain any excess fat.
Grill or roast the burgers a couple of minutes on each side, put the cheese on and let it melt. Heat the buns a couple of minutes.
Start with the bun, add coleslaw, burger with cheese, ketchup and mustard, then tomato and top with that crispy Serrano.
Enjoy your tower of awesome burger! 😀
