Matua Pinot Noir 2012

I know the week has just started, but nevertheless it’s time to review a new wine. I have already told you that I like to try out the not-so-famous countries and regions, and this wine is no exception. Matua is from Marlborough in New Zealand. Yep, I’ve had good experiences with wines from both Australia and New Zealand before, so I have no trouble trying out a new one.

Louis Moreau Chablis 2011

Let me first tell you something. This is one of the very few wines I really find it difficult to find matching food to. Of course you CAN drink it to almost everything, but it just doesn’t give the wine the attention it deserves. Chablis is famous, and especially for one thing. They are all made of chardonnay, and the most famous
fact about them is how incredibly dry they are.

Markus Molitor Riesling 2012

Sushi is more popular than ever. It can be quite challenging to find a suitable wine for a sushi meal. The reason for this is the huge amount of different flavors in sushi. You have to take sweet, salty and acids into consideration. Wheh drinking wine with food, we want it to enhance the flavors in the food, and let the food enhance the wine. This is not easy with sushi, but I think this wine does the trick!
