It is not very often I buy and taste wine from USA. Mostly, it is Italy, France and Germany. It is a shame that the other countries do not get more attention. There are a lot of good wine makers out there, but since they are not from well-known wine territory, we tend to avoid them. Do not be afraid of trying out something new!
Let me first tell you something. This is one of the very few wines I really find it difficult to find matching food to. Of course you CAN drink it to almost everything, but it just doesn’t give the wine the attention it deserves. Chablis is famous, and especially for one thing. They are all made of chardonnay, and the most famous
fact about them is how incredibly dry they are.
Seafood is brilliant for apetizers. It’s not too heavy, it’s fresh and really starts your apetite. I did an experiment with this one though, I added my favorite ingredient. It’s my dark little secret.
